This training is aimed to people just starting with Drupal. Basic concepts will be explained are later put into practice. The objective is that someone, who might not even know about Drupal, can understand the different concepts and building blocks to create a website using this CMS. By the end of the day, a simple yet fully functional website.

In particular, attendees will learn about:

  • Drupal installation requirements and process
  • Nodes
  • Content types
  • Fields
  • Blocks
  • Theme regions
  • Views
  • User and permissions
  • Menus
  • Taxonomy
  • Theme settings
  • Module installation and configuration

The training runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For the training, https://simplytest.me/ will be used. Sites built with this service are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Feel free to use a different service or a local installation to keep your site permanently. In case you want to set up a local Drupal installation please arrive before 9:00 AM. Trainers will be at the room starting at 8:00 AM to help anyone who might need assistance.
